Unions, Social Movements and Politics in Europe in the Light of Globalisation and the Global Justice Movement

Most of Western Europe, including its social partnership heartland is now afflicted with the plague of neo-liberal globalisation that had previously been seen as confined to the Anglo-Saxon world, the South, the East. Trade unions everywhere are confronted by a capitalist economic, corporate and technological revolution, implying for labour a counter-revolution without a visible limit. This is the cancer stage of capitalism in which it eats away at what it previously achieved and at what it previously promised.
